Steps To Reproduce | drag a sample and add automation to it select the sample and automation and press (ctrl + d) the automation does not get duplicated with the sample | ||||

Why would it? Automation is entirely separate and may or may not refer to the region(s) that you duplicate. If you want to copy or move a section you can use a time-range selection and include relevant automation in the selection, or arrangement section (which includes everything incl. hidden automation, markers etc). -- PS. what you refer to as "sample" are called "Regions" (of a given source) in Ardour. The Region Menu applies here. |

Because I specifically said select both the region AND the automation . With a multi select, the issue is it only works on the regions but not the automation, but if.i selected the automation I would expect that to get duplicated as well. |

notice how i have both the "region" and the automation selected? even the "time range" selection doesnt work here. |
