Summary | 0009676: Fix | ||||
Description | I found problems with Smart Mod, Pitch Shift and support for some plugins, although everything should work - Shift Pitch degrades all audio - Smart mod is not clear how it works. It didn't work for me - Plugin support I really like the program. I want a new version already | ||||

If you hover mouse cursor at Smart mode button, the small explanation comes up - it adds range functions to grab mode. If enabled, you can use range mode in first half of the track and grab mode in the second half of the track height without changing manually between these modes. If disabled, in grab mode you can only grab regions. What plugins support are you missing? If you go on top menu bar Window -> Plugin manager you can see here what plugins ardour sees and is there any issue with any. Clicking on re-scan all option there would be good in your case |

Plugins from the publisher Sanford. I've scanned it before. I've been using the software not so long ago. I hope to find some really critical problems, but I haven't identified much right now. Unlike others, you don't have anything unnecessary. Ardour leader. Good luck in finalizing this program Thanks anyway for your responsiveness! |

I have got Sanford plugins working in Windows 11 in Ardour, inside plugin manager there is "Windows VST2 Path" button. There I added a path to that plugin folder location, rescanned all plugins and the 64 bit versions are seen and working good |

It seems from what I wrote there is no problem. Others as professionals really help you. Excuse me. Thanks for helping. I will keep an eye on the news |

I'm late to the party.. * nothing can be done about pitch-shift. sorry. Results vary greatly depending on the input sound, and the amount that you shift it. * Regarding smart-mode, PMB already explained it, and there is also https://manual.ardour.org/ardours-interface/the-toolbox/#smart-mode * On Windows, Ardour supports VST3, VST2, and LV2 plugins, but 64 bit Ardour can only load 64 bit plugins. Some older 32 bit VSTs are not supported. You may also find Perhaps https://prokoudine.github.io/ardour-tutorial/en/mixing-sessions/using-plugins/ useful. |
