Summary | 0009411: Realtime export fails to follow normalization setting
Description | While exporting a region or session with the realtime option enabled, the end result is always normalized, even when normalization is disabled in the export profile. Disabling the normalization checkbox in the export profile results in an exported file with the loudness and peak settings that would be expected if normalization was enabled.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. In the Time Span dialog, enable the realtime option for the session or range to export. 2. Choose an export profile (I tried with a 48k/32 bit float wav), and disable normalization. 3. Export and check the loudness analysis. 4. Run Loudness Analysis on source material to confirm that the source does not match the export loudness.
Additional Information | I initially thought that this problem was due to an upgrade from 7.4 to 7.5. However, I realized that I had not actually tried a realtime export prior to the upgrade. At one point in my troubleshooting process, I downgraded to 7.4, and the bug was present; re-upgrading didn't solve the problem. I cannot reproduce this here. Perhaps the bug is triggered by some custom export formats. While Ardour is not running, please remove %localappdata%\ardour7\export\ and after that try the export again. Just move the folder away, do not delete it. If that solves the problem we can investigate the export specs. |

I'm so sorry for the delay here --- moving the export folder solved the issue. I can export at the expected loudness using both a stock Ardour profile and a modified profile. I've attached a zipped copy of the original export folder. Thank you for the suggestion, and please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help! |
