Which desktop environment do you use? Some (like KDE) do not follow freedesktop.org specs, in Ardour you can work around this via Preferences > Appearance > Quirks > Show/hide splash screen instead of setting z-axis order. You can launch Ardour with --no-splash option as well. |

Then again this may be a different issue, related to LV2 scanning (not a splash screen issue after all. Does `lv2ls` work and list all plugins? |

I use xfce4 DE. lv2ls lists all LV2 plugins instantly. |
