Summary | 0008505: MIDI playback will not stop after using Home key
Description | When you press the home key to return the playback head to the beginning of a midi-only recording, you are unable to stop playback with the keyboard or graphic play button. The only solution is to save the file, exit and reopen the file. Note: Starting and stopping a freshly loaded song with spacebar or onscreen buttons works until you press the Home key.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Open empty file 2. Record anything on a midi track 3. Press play and then press the Home key 4. Notice that you can't stop playback.
Additional Information | When you add an audio track, save file, restart Ardour 6.5 and play the save file, the home key works as expected. When I delete the dummy audio track and use the Home key, the problem appears again. If you delete just the audio data in the track, the home key works and you are able to stop playback. Ardour 6 in Ubuntu Studio does not have this problem.

I'm experiencing the same problem, but the home key is not triggering the issue. The stop function seems to be disabled after making edits and playing a section of the MIDI file. Exiting Ardour is the only way I've been able to stop the playback. Version 6.5 OS: Ubuntu 20.04 |
