If I understand it correctly the user "thekoala" suggested in a forum post that this is a graphical glitch and there is data in the empty regions. He says that resizing the midi track makes midi data reappear. https://discourse.ardour.org/t/my-ardour-midi-rant/104367/34 Is this true with the issue you are seeing ? |

Just had this one happen. Copy a range of a midi clip and paste into another track. All the notes disappear because the region displayed in the new clip on the new track is calculated from the start of the midi clip and not the range start of the selected midi clip. |

mhartzel: I don't think so. If it'd be a purely visual issue the notes would still play. I can resize or edit an effected MIDI region and it'll not get the notes back. muzikermammoth: I think it's a different issue -what I'm reporting happens strictly when you save and close your session, and open it again. Yes, the regions were duplicates before, but the breakage only occurs after reloading the session. |

need a recipe for this. never had it happen during any of the testing i've done working on MIDI .... |
