Summary | 0008146: Ardour does not close properly
Description | Ardour seems to close the session and then just hang. Eventually you will get a "Not Responding" message and you can force quit.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Start Ardour. 2. Pick any session 3a) Click Session->Quit OR.... 3b) Click on X in upper right 4. Save or do not save, there is no closing. 5. Then session closes, but not Ardour.
Additional Information | I am on something called PopOS, it's a Ubuntu 19.10 GNOME OS

I can confirm this happens on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS as well with stable Ardour 6. Steps to reproduce: 1. start Ardour 6 2. create any project 3. click X to quit 4. opt to destroy session on quit After steps blank Ardour window which would normally be there for a brief time is now stuck before it's forced to close. This problem does not concern only new projects but loading projects will also result to Ardour freezing on exit. This did not happen with the Ardour 6 prerelease nightly builds (gcc 5). |
