| Description | When working with tracks grouped for organisation (i.e. not sharing settings, or sharing only colour), selecting multiple busses in the editor appears to cause the gain sharing for all groups to be overridden (turned on) until the session is reopened. It took me a while to work out what was triggering this frustrating behaviour, and I don't recall seeing it before Ardour 5.12. Note: I suspect this may be the actual problem being hit in bug 7537, but I can't confirm that. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Open Ardour from cold and create a new empty session. 2. Create some tracks and place them into groups, with all group sharing turned off. 3. Manually create some busses to use as submixes, and route each group into its bus. 4. Play with the faders on tracks in different groups; they should work independently as expected. 5. Select two of the busses. Play with the track faders and notice that they are now linked relatively within the groups, even ones that are not connected to the selected submixes. 6. Select a different track or bus, play with the faders and note that the group faders remain linked. 7. Confirm through the edit group dialog that gain sharing is still not turned on. 8. Save the session, close Ardour and then reopen the session. Everything magically works right again. | ||||
