Summary | 0007416: Plugings copy paste of plugins (very!) challenging
Description | Every time I try to push this 'copypasta' functionality to its ends, it's telling me to bugger off in the worst of ways. 0000001 When I use it with multiple plugins, it pulls me the plugins in another order than in the previous step (neither alphabetically, nor reversed (although it sometimes kinda look like it), I checked both) #2 While playing, it just crashes ardour.
Steps To Reproduce | Self-explained in the description, I think ? Don't hesitate to ask for more information, though.
Additional Information | Used with mainly calf plugins but also some of the Gareus pack.

1) The paste-order is the order in which you've selected the plugins. Select the top-most, hold shift, select the bottom most then drag/drop preserves the order. Now if that's a good thing is a different question. 2) I can't reproduce this. Could you get a backtrace of the crash? or state a recipe how to reliably reproduce this? |

x42: the selecting, and drag+drop in mixer like you said works, though to me copying and pasting plug-ins always messes up order and it feels totally random to me. What I do: 1. Click on a plug-in and shift+click on another to select all 2. Right click on one of the selected plug-ins and choose copy 3. Right click on another track's processor box and select paste 4. See the plug-ins are in a different order than on my original tracks I would expect Ardour to not us the order I have selected the plug-ins in, but use their relative order in the stack I am copying them from. Maybe it could be an option users can change? |

It took me a while to understand this. It's only a problem when you paste pre-fader, or if there are already plugins on the target track. |

Fixed in 6.6.53 Please test |
