I Can't reproduce this issue with the official 5.4 build or a nightly build 5.4.320. Is this consistantly reproducible? How exactly are you triggering the quantize? Can you upload a simple Session that exhibits the issue and a series of steps to reproduce? |

I just upgraded to Ardour 5.5 and the problem is the same. I turn off the "quantize" function by right-clicking on the note or the selection. |

I'm sorry I still can't reproduce here using 5.5 I'm still not clear on what your issue is so these are the steps I'm using to try and reproduce: 1. Create a MIDI track 2. Create a Region and draw notes (with main grid set to Beat 1/8) 3. Select notes and move them off grid alignment using mouse while holding Alt modifier. 4. Change main grid quantization setting to Beats 5. Right click on selected notes and click quantize... 6. Select Snap notes to start and a quantize setting of Beats/8 and Quantize The notes should now be quantized to a 1/8 beat and not the main grid quantize setting of "Beats" set in step 4. What are the steps you are following exactly, what behaviour are you seeing and what do you expect? |
