Description | It is impossible to run a 32 bits ardour 32 bits installer on a 64 bits PC which runs a 32 or 64 bits OS (Ubuntu Studio). Error message : Verifying archive integrity... All good. Uncompressing Ardour....... Welcome to the Ardour installer Ardour will be installed for user woupida in /opt Architecture is x86_64 Checking for required disk space !!! ERROR !!! We still want evidence from uname -a regarding the actual word size used by the Linux system you're trying to install on (as requested in the forums, but not given) |

UbuntuStudio 16.04 (and other versions) does have a kernel that is able to run 32bit binaries. However, it does not come with 32 bit libraries by default. As such a 32 bit application would likely fail. Do notice the (quite long) list of 32 bit libs an application like wine wants to install so it can run. |
