Summary0006435: International characters in track names cause tracks to not appear in mixer when session is reopened

User created a session and imported files. After closing and reopening the session, some of the tracks no longer show up in the Mixer but they do show in the editor.

"I hopefully have good news. In the morning I do my project with my Linux-Laptop and all was correct and ok. So I am looking again on my Macs project and at least I changed one point. There were two tracks named „Fläche Carpet.wav“ and „Fläche Jupiter.wav“. Pleas look at the letter „ä“! I changed this to „Flaeche Carpet.wav“ and „Flaeche Jupiter.wav“ , did the project again (import all files again in a new project) and yes! all ok!!!
So the problem maybe only on Macs is the letter „ä,ö,ü…“! Maybe this helps."

unresolved: mac32, created new session. made new track, name of track contained International character. also all mix busses and the master disappeared from mix window (mixbus check boxes=checked on). error msg: insufficient ports... and UI draw issue:see image.

To get umlauted characters on an English keyboard on OSX, hold down OPTION and push ‘u’. Release OPTION, then type the desired base letter (a, o, u, A, O, or U).

On windows Hold Left ALT and type 0252 on the num pad

 I was able to reproduce this with Mixbus3 only (not Ardour4.1) on OSX.

The first Track name with an Umlaut in the name is not displayed and all tracks following it are hidden in the mixer.

NB. this is about track names (not file names). The only relation is that the file-name is used as default track name. Simply changing the track name solves the issues. The actual filename can remain UTF8. It's probably a bug in the Harrison Mixerstrip code

 I cannot reproduce issue using Mixbus interim 3.0.3146(64-bit), on Mac OSX 10.6.8

I can reproduce this with the latest git version caf057f06dbe307e4a53580665b0f2166fe8a2c5 on Debian testing (Bullseye).

I made a very small session which reproduces the problem. Whenever I use "2 Tenor Verleih uns Frieden gnädiglich" as a track name the track and all tracks below stop appearing correctly in the connection manager. When I replace "ä" by "ae" it works as expected.

OK. so this is a related but different issue (connection manager, not mixer).

@Alexander are you also on MacOS? CoreAudio backend? It seems to be due to port-naming.
