Is your sound card _AND_ your source of LTC locked to the same sync clock (Word Clock, B&B etc)? If the speed of the LTC is not exactly the same as that of Ardour at play speed then Ardour is effectively vari-speeding to chase the LTC. Recording is not possible in that situation, as it would require Ardour so sample rate convert all the audio to the new speed. If that isn't the issue then try a different order of enabling things. 1) Setup for slaving to LTC 2) rec enable the track to be recorded on 3) Press the chase button (Will currently say Internal). The play button will come on and the chase button will change to say LTC. The button should also have a solid colour, if it is flashing then lock is not being achieved while trying to chase the LTC. 4) Now press the master record button. If changing the order of how you do things makes it work then maybe we need to look at that. |

Setup to slave and record (track and master record enabled) LTC flashing Start master Transport moving, LTC solid, master record auto-off(?) Click master record Records as expected (even recognises punch in/out) Problem seems to be when the transport starts (slaved) record is disabled, you must manually re-enable. |

OK, thanks for confirming. So not a bug in the sense that LTC and recording just can't happen, but an issue with the logic of the transport and external chase. |

Yes, sorry; recording is possible when slaved, but must be manually initiated. |
