Summary | 0005327: creating session in path w/ symbolic link does not work | ||||
Description | when creating a new session in a directory that includes a symbolic link in the path, the session is not created in the desired place but instead in the home folder. | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | 1. open A3 and create a new session 2. select a folder for the session whose path includes a symbolic link 3. name the session and click Open 4. go to Session/Properties/Media and note that the session is not saved in the desired location, but in the home folder | ||||

what version of GTK are you using? there is a regression in GTK that affects this (its holding up 3.0, actually) |

gtk+-2.24.12 and gtk+-3.6.3 are installed here. |

please try it on a session/path without a symlink to verify that it is ONLY a problem there. that will help separate out whether this is the same problem that is caused by the GTK regression. |

apologies, i thought i had tried it with a symlink-less path, but trying it again right now it still happens whether or not the session path has a symlink: regardless the session is created in the home folder. |

this is GTK. we're all waiting for the fix .... |
