| Description | when a route w/ a playlist (i.e. a track) is renamed in Ardour, the currently selected playlist for that track is also renamed to the new track name. this is problematic, as it causes the original name of the playlist to be lost, and is easy to miss, since the current playlist name is not displayed. i often end up renaming tracks, when the session changes from a demo/scratch pad to a more concrete idea, or when simply cleaning up a session. since i have notes for each playlist, if i do not take care (i.e. copy the playlist's name, rename the track, and then rename the playlist back to its original name with a paste), the playlist name to which the notes refer can be inadvertently changed when cleaning up track names. at least an option to disable this behavior would be very useful. thanks. is there a reason (e.g workflow) why this is so? | ||||

looks good in SVN 12647. just to confirm what i am seeing, once a playlist has a region, even if that region is removed (i.e. the playlist becomes "dirty"), renaming the route will not rename the current playlist. is this correct? thanks |
