Description | Add a new entry to the plugin area context menu. Namely 'By Type'. Right click the redirects area, click "New PLugin" and the new entry here below "By Category" and "By Creator". By type would be the plugin format used ie LV2, LADSPA, LinVST, WinVST etc etc. | ||||

is this really such a frequent way of accessing plugins that it deserves an extra menu shortcut? i mean, in the rare case where you want to find that one vst plugin, you can access it through the plugin manager, sorting or searching by type. |

The method currently employed to add plugins to tracks could definitely do with some attention IMO. I would be quite happy to see structure implemented if it went one step further and only showed relevant plugins for the track type. See my last comment on http://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=4442 for how I propose the plugin menu be structured. |
