Summary0004064: Edit groups should have their own colour.
DescriptionCurrently the colour of the edit group tab is that of the first track in each physically contiguous block of tracks, so if a track (or tracks) in an edit group is separated from the rest of the group the colour of the edit group tabs do not match for all the tracks in the group.

Perhaps each edit group should have a colour of its own to display in the tab, and tracks within that edit group could (optionally) share that colour rather than use their own.

The first half of this works very nicely. I do think the option to use the group colour for its tracks would be nice too.

Agree with colinf, it's great that groups now have their own colour, but there needs to be an option for the colouring of the regions on those tracks within the group to follow the groups colour.

Now we're getting somewhere. Thanks. However ....

Adding new tracks to an existing group by dragging the tab, doesn't propagate the colour to those newly added tracks.

Reloading the session gives the group a different colour than when it was created.

Just tested the coloring of the tracks today (SVN 10053), but was not yet fully working. 2 problems:

1) Create 2 tracks > create the group and select the share color option > record enable, record on both tracks > BUG: colors are different. Afterwards, edit the group > change any setting > the colors get magically corrected :p

2) Black (background color for tabs) shouldn't be a valid color for groups.

While around that: I've seen you can create empty named groups. Not sure if that is wrong or not but... :p

Had an issue that on reloading a session all three groups in that session had the same colour. That didn't help !
