Summary | 0001159: Copy/paste of a send should autoconnect
Description | 1. Create a send on a mixer strip and connect it to something. 2. Copy the send. 3. Paste the send in another mixer strip and edit it. The pasted copy is not connected to anything. It would be really nice if by default it were auto-connected to the same ports as the original send. I think this fits the common case. e.g. you have a send on one track that is feeding a reverb bus, and you want to feed some other tracks to that bus too. Copy / paste would be a really convenient way to do this. Having to connect each send by hand is a minor annoyance.

This feature is implemented in Ardour2 2.8. When a send is created on a mixer strip and copy / pasted to another mixer strip, the new send has the same outs selected as the original. I think this issue can be resolved. |
