Summary | 0009839: Ace Fluid Synth - Allow soundfont filename to be visible
Description | Not sure if this is a limitation of the generic plugin GUI in Ardour but would it be possible to maybe show the actual full filename of the soundfont that is loaded into Ace Fluid Synth plugin? Currently the name does not show up anywhere other than in the Switches column which barely shows any of the name, so user does not have a clear view of what soundfont is loaded. Maybe the name can be put above where the “Switches” header is at the top of the plugin GUI if this is possible? If this name can be added somewhere in the GUI, this leads to some questions. -I would not show the .sf2 file extension in the name because not necessary information. -It would probably be nice to also see the path, but would not really want it to be included in the filename necessarily. Also if file has a long path then gives less room for the filename as well. Not the path I use personally but just an example of a long path not desired with name /home/<username>/Music/Instruments/Soundfonts/The best strings soundfont ever.sf2 maybe the path and name can be on two separate lines? Path is not as important if cannot find place for it, but at least the filename itself would be nice to see in full. Probably not going to be added but could be helpful for the user Thank You
