| Description | When adding a Yabridge VST3 plugin to a track, there is no audio going through the plugin. This is solved by playing with the pin configuration. Unfortunately this issue happens when adding a new plugin to a track and for all instances on startup. I tested this with al Fabfilter and Audio Assault Dominator plugin. This issue does not happen when trying to reproduce with Reaper instead of Ardour. OS: EndavourOS: 6.10.10-arch1-1 Yabridge: 5.1.0 Ardour: Ardour8.6.0 (built using 8.6 and GCC version 14.2.1 20240910) Also tested this with Ardour development version 8.7.24 on commit 3751d20ce9 | ||||

It looks as if Ardour informs the plugin that a given port is not connected tweaking pin connections works around this. However it apparently works fine with the VST3 plugin on Windows and macOS. So this is likely an issue with yabridge, or Ardour/yabridge combination. I'll see if can get Robbert's attention. Mono support for VST3 plugin was added in Ardour 7.3 and specifically tested with ProQ https://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=9229 Reaper is not affected since it does not support mono VST3 in the first place, signal flow there is stereo. |
