Description | My external DSP card (a UAD Apollo) has a setting to disable its plugins when it detects that they are disabled in the DAW. This allows a user to free up resources on the Apollo that aren't actually being used. I use this feature to get more mileage out of the Apollo by mixing down a track that I've finished processing and then disabling the track. It seems to me that disabling the track ought to disable its plugins but apparently it doesn't. I have to manually disable or bypass the track's plugins individually, *then* they will be freed by the Apollo.
I'm filing this as a bug report, rather than a feature request, as it seems to me self evident that the effect of "disabling" a track should be that its constituent components will also be "disabled". |
