Summary | 0008666: Opening project with video in timeline crashes Ardour and freezes JACK applications.
Description | When opening a project that has a video timeline enabled. Ardour opens up xjadeo and about half a second later spawns a pop-up that says it is waiting for the video playback to start, despite it already being open. Any attempt to interact with ardour, or after waiting a moment, the graphical interface for ardour closes, but the process is still running in the background. Any attempt to start ardour causes it to open in the background, but never spawn a graphical interface. All other applications that interact with JACK (eg Carla, Cadence) will freeze upon trying to interact with JACK. After logging out and logging back in, starting ardour again, xjadeo spawns in, no pop-up appears and everything works.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Create a project using video. 2. Save the project. 3. Reboot. 4. Open the project.

This appears to be specific to (a) the video in question and/or (b) your system. It works without issues here on two test videos I imported. I use JACK1. |
|
I use JACK2, so that may be the difference. |
