Summary | 0008385: MIDI note at beginning of region disappears
Description | MIDI note at beginning of region disappears when moving and resizing the region.
Steps To Reproduce | 1) Set snap to 1/16 Note (This should work with other settings too). 2) Create a short MIDI region with a note at the beginning. 3) Move the region forward a bit. 4) Expand the start of the region and then shrink it back to the start of the note. This should make the note disappear, however it doesn't always work at the first try. Try playing around with the position and size of the region. See the attached video file for a recreation of the bug.

This bug has been reported several times. It can be avoided by always working in snapped-to-grid mode. Trimming the region ends and/or creating/moving notes when not snapped to grid, and then doing the same when snapped to grid will cause this. There is no other workaround. The problem will be fixed in the next major release of Ardour (7.0), but that is many months away. |
