Summary | 0008311: Weird display on send automation faders when playing related automation curves
Description | As far as I could test, it seems to be an issue of displaying rather than playing. I mean that the automation is working fine, but it's not showing properly. Create a send to a bus, then record or write automation curves, especially with abrupt changes (one point at 0 dB and the next one at 6 dB, for example). Both the send indicator on the processor box and the fader on the automation lane display (the same) wrong values. The same weird thing happens when recording on 'write' or 'touch' mode, but this is not exclusive. You can draw points with mouse and it still happens. I think it has to do with "abrupt" changes. Increasing the slope mitigates the effect, but it's not enough. For example, for changes from 0 dB to +6 dB, it will show +4,5 dB, +5 dB, +5,8 dB, never reaching +6 dB, although the slope is soft enough so that the automation could not make sense if you want quick changes.
Steps To Reproduce | Ceate an audio and a bus track, then aux send from the audio to the bus track. Draw an automation curve to control send level that consist of four segments: the first one at 0 dB, the second one at -inf dB, the third one at 0db again, and the last one at 6 dB. All points must be at minimum distance in time. Set automation lane to "play" and see what both faders show while playing.
Additional Information | Manually dragging and dropping playhead along the four segments cause all faders to display the right values.
