That is odd. The name should still be visible (see screenshot below). I cannot reproduce it. Is that issue reliably repeatable? Is this Ardour from ardour.org or a self-built (different gtk version)? It is self built from the master branch , is built on Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS I see libgtkmm-2.4.so.1 used by the binary Maybe there are some file settings that I need to remove left by version 5. Also, when expanding the inactive track there comboboxes will be shown, I don't know if this is intended. disabled_track.png (27,437 bytes) |

Made pull request here: https://github.com/Ardour/ardour/pull/535 For now it fixes for audio tracks only. I hope I am going in the right direction. Ideally would to be able to re-attache the label from control table to inactive table somehow. |

I can reproduce that and it only seems to affect MIDI tracks. Audio and buses names are still visible between () (On Ardour 6.2 from ardour.org; Debian 10) |

I am using the code from the master and the name for MIDi is shown ok. I think there is also a need to change the color of the name to gray, and remove the parentheses. inactive_midi.png (33,689 bytes) |
