Summary | 0008269: Allow metronome to play subdivisions
Description | As far as I know, Ardour's metronome only plays on quarter notes. Would it be possible to add subdivisions, such as eighth notes?

It's in "beats" rather than quarter notes. E.g. Change the time signature from 4/4 to 8/8 and you'll get the metronome on eighth notes. (I still think it would be a good feature though.) |

I have tried doing that but then the grid adjusts. It would be nice to be able to keep the grid as is so as to not confuse editing. Changing a session property as a workaround doesn't make sense to me. I'm a drummer and I prefer the feel of having an eighth note click to play along to. I have also tried using a delay but then you have two accent notes, so that isn't a solution either. |
