Summary | 0007874: Temporary solo does not revert correctly if another track soloed
Description | I use a session without a monitor section and have set solo to 'exclusive'. I solo one track permanently, then use the middle mouse button to temporarily solo another track. That works as expected, but when I let go of the middle button, all tracks are un-soloed. i would expect that the previously soloed track is soloed again, so the state after the temporary action is the same as before.

Still the same behaviour with Ardour 6.0.pre1.21. |
|
Still not fixed in Ardour 6.0.rc1.2. |
|
Still not fixed in Ardour 6.2. Could the developers please kindly comment if that is expected behaviour (then I can stop reporting it) or if it will be fixed eventually? |

it's a bug. the dimensionality of solo-ing makes it hard to test every possible case. you've just found one we haven't tested before. |
|
The (really useful) new audition feature (Transport->Solo selection, or keyboard short cut 'A') suffers from the same issue. If prior to engaging the audition feature some track is soloed, it won't be soloed anymore after the auditioning ended, presumably due to the same bug. |

Not fixed in Ardour 6.5. |
