Summary | 0007639: Waveform zooming (optional)
Description | If somebody wants to see the waveform of the noise he wants to zoom the waveform enough, with a button for this option, but this is not possible within a given track size, only with increasing track size, which cannot be done to see noise floor. I know a better button that is used in ProTools, +/- is OK, but not enough, completed with an "original size" button would be perfect. Suggestion: use a third button for that near the Shrink and Expand tracks buttons. Near there put a drop-down option "Track size" and "Zoom WaveForm". This menu would change"Shrink" and "Expand" button's function. And if someone works in the "Zoom WaveForm" mode use a "0" button between the "+" and "-" buttons to reach the original size of the WaveForm.

I'm not sure I understand but if you want a way to increase the size of the waveform and then restore it to its original/previous size you can use the zoom to selection action that is accessed via the 'z' key. Shift + 'z' will restore the zoom. There is also Preferences -> Editor -> Double click zooms to selection. A button could be added to access this action but I'm not sure it would be a good idea. |
