| Description | Because I use only one screen and have mixer and sequencer as seperate windows, I would like to have one additional feature. This is to have a few more buttons on the tracks in sequencer-view. By this I mean one for toggling monitoring status (between "input" and "disk"), one for bouncing a track into an audio file, one for freezing a track (for saving dsp-/cpu-power) and another one for bypassing all FX (except for the fader and synth/sampler of course). If these buttons would exist, I would not have to switch back and forth between the sequencer and mixer window. Because at the very moment, I only can change a track's monitoring status in the mixer (and meterbridge, which I do not have open all the time, because it consumes screen space). And bypassing all fx is only possible by clicking on each one or from the pop-up-menu with a right-click. Also, the only way to edit, choose or change an instrument or its preset for an audio-MIDI-track is through the mixer. It would be more convenient and improve workflow to have a button for opening the GUI of the instrument right from its track, by left-clicking on it. And if right-clicking on it, you could choose another instrument and/or preset by a pop-up-menu. That would be awesome. I suggest moving the track volume slider down by just one column and then there would fit 5 or 6 more buttons, right above the slider. And because mixing is done in the mixer anyway, since the slider on the tracks do not have any scale, no one would probably miss the slider at its recent position. By the way, having the option to activate a scale inside the slider would also be cool. |
