One example where the current behavior of opening a window centered on the mouse pointer is problematic is: when you open a new window (create new tracks window for example) by using a keyboard shortcut. You might have your mouse pointer in a position that results the new window opening part of it outside the screen and invisible. Centering new windows at the real center of the screen is a much better default behaviour IMHO. |
