Summary | 0006931: Program crashes when trying to scan Audio Units
Description | I want to use AU synths with Ardour, but the program crashes when I try to scan. I have other audio apps that have successfully scanned my AUs, and no problems.
Steps To Reproduce | open the program, goto preferences, goto plugins tab, click scan plugins. does the first few, then crashes - program window disappears :-(

The plugin that caused the crash will be blacklisted and skipped on the next scan. So if you repeat the scan, Ardour should eventually catch up. Can you provide a list of plugins installed on your system? One way of doing that is by running Apple's AU validation tool in a terminal: auval -a PS. the blacklist is a text file, one plugin-ID per line in $HOME/Library/Caches/Ardour4/au_blacklist.txt |
