Product Version4.1
Summary0006406: Trim automation edited value doesn't match actual value
DescriptionArdour version: 4.1.0 (from web site)
Distro: Fedora 21 + CCRMA
Kernel: 3.14.29-200.rt26.1.fc21.ccrma.x86_64+rt
GUI env: KDE 4 on VNC; screen size: 1820x1024

Steps to reproduce:

1: Enable Trim automation for a track/bus. (In my case it was on Master bus.)
2: In Draw mode, somewhere > 0 time, click to add an automation point. (In my case, I placed the point on a marker with snap/grid set to Magnetic Marks.)
3: Try to drag it to 0 dB. Notice that it does not seem to have an "affinity" for 0 (at least at the screen resolution I'm using, and with the default track height; is that intentional?), so cannot hit that value exactly.
4: Context-click > Edit... The initial value shown is the same as what I last set by dragging the point. (-0.2 dB for example.)
5: Change the value as desired. (0 in this case.) Hit return or click Apply.

Expected result: Automation point moves to newly edited value.

Actual result: Automation point moves to some other value -- got +11.3 dB as I write this. Worse, the offset does not appear to be constant: If I edit the point again and enter -11.3 (hoping to hit 0), the result is -0.7.
Additional InformationHave not tested much for repeatability, but the problem persisted after restarting Ardour.
