Debian 8 seems not to be affected by this. Both systems are amd64, openbox, nvidia graphic card (Debian 7 with proprietary driver, Debian 8 with nouveau). |

mmh. I can't reproduce this. neither on debian/wheezy nor jessie with openbox. The jessie (debian8, amd64) box is using nvidia/binary driver. The old wheezy testing machine (netbook, i386) has some intel gfx. The issue is most likely outside of ardour, but it's hard to say. Did you use the "official" builds from ardour.org/download or nightly.ardour.org (which include gtk,..?) or is this a self-build with gtk from debian? |

It's the official build. I made a new project with some audio and midi tracks and everything worked fine there. Then I followed my steps given above and could not reproduce the problem. After Ardour was quit and restarted however I get the error again, fully reproducible as stated above...very strange. |

I can confirm this Issue. I build Ardour by my self on Kubuntu 14.04 (32 bit). Github master branch. |

I can't reproduce this issue with ardour master version 51f9483aab(4.6.361), 4.6.334(nightly build) or 4.4. If you could re-test with an official 4.6 release or nightly build to confirm that it is no longer an issue that would be appreciated, thanks. |
