Summary | 0005946: Missing Plugins change project files even when "Just Close" is selected to quit. |
---|
Description | This is somewhat related to issue 0005800. When opening a project on a machine that does not have all the needed plug-ins installed, as expected, Ardour produces an error list of the missing plugins. Then I close the session without saving. The next time the project is opened, those plugins are no longer part of the project. |
---|
Additional Information | Understood that if a plugin is missing, Ardour needs to omit it in order to open the project. But closing without saving should not modify the original, and it does. So you can't close the project, install the missing "Plugins X", and then reopen the project and have it complete. Whatever was missing the first time is gone from the project. (unless you have a backup - which we all do regularly :)
