Summary | 0005864: Compound regions broken by "Removed Unused" @ Region List
Description | Version: 3.5.308 (Linux) Steps to reproduce: 1. Record a bit of audio. 2. Split the newly-recorded region. 3. Combine these regions. 4. @ Region List: right-click --> Remove Unused. 5. Save/close/re-open the session. The compound region will have disappeared, along with its component regions. Errors and warnings are 100% consistent: [ERROR]: Session: XMLNode describing a AudioRegion references an unknown source id =11985 [ERROR]: Playlist: cannot create region from XML [ERROR]: Session: cannot create Playlist from XML description. [WARNING]: Regions in compound description not found (ID's 11888 and 11926): ignored [WARNING]: Regions in compound description not found (ID's 11897 and 11917): ignored [WARNING]: Regions in compound description not found (ID's 11888 and 11976): ignored [WARNING]: Regions in compound description not found (ID's 11897 and 11967): ignored
Additional Information | This will occur regardless of whether the component regions have been moved or otherwise edited. Compound regions are not affected by cleaning up unused sources via the Session menu, only via the Region List. The source file is not removed from the interchange folder, and the original recorded region is left intact on the Region List. Flushing the wastebasket has no effect. NOTE: Reported for Product Version 3.0, as version 3.5 is not an option on this report form.
