Summary | 0005569: MIDI routed tracks become silent on export
Description | Quick steps to reproduce 1. Download and extract the session folder attached. 2. File > Export > Export to Audio File(s)... 3. Click "Export" Actual behavior: WAV file is silent/empty. Expected behavior: WAV file should match playback in Ardour. Discussion: The MIDI data track routes to a single "MIDI synth" track. This setup is useful when using multiple MIDI instruments. Routing several MIDI tracks to a single "MIDI synth" track for playback saves memory, CPU, etc. Steps to reproduce from a new session. 1. Create a new MIDI track (for the sake of these instructions, lets label it MIDI data") 2. Create a second MIDI track (label it "MIDI synth 'bus'"). Add a MIDI instrument plugin to this track. 3. In the Mixer click "In" on the "MIDI synth 'bus'", and set up the instrument plugin as needed (e.g. select a SoundFont, etc.) 4. In the Window > MIDI Connections connect "MIDI data out" to "MIDI synth 'bus' in" 5. In the Main Window record some notes to "MIDI data" 6. Export to WAV
