Summary | 0005137: cleaning up unused regions makes the region list huge, because the relationship with the original audio file is lost
Description | When you create new regions in a session, you have one master region and an "arrow" that can collaps all the regions that were created from that audio file. When you clean up unused regions, those "master" regions are removed when not used in the session. While this is technically correct it is also very annoying when you have cut out lots of regions from one file. Now your region list becomes one huge flat list, without any structure (except for the names. I think there should be an option to always keep one region referring to the whole audiofile, if an another region in the session is referring to that file. Then all regions that descend from one file can be collapsed in the region list, and it becomes much easier to search.
