Summary | 0005093: changing route from mono to stereo does not update channel strip
Description | changing route from mono to stereo does not update channel strip, nor allow panning automation to be edited until restart of Ardour when adding an output port to a mono audio route (e.g. make it have stereo output), Ardour does not really see the new output port until it is restarted. thus, though the new audio port is available via JACK, the Audio Connection Manager, etc, the channel strip for the route does not show stereo output meters, the route's panning cannot be automated, etc.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. create new session 2. create mono "Audio 1" track 3. record some "Audio 1" to track 4. add 2nd/stereo output port to "Audio 1" track via Audio Connection Manager (by right clicking on "Audio 1" track and selecting "add audio port") 5. note that the channel strip still only shows a single output for "Audio 1" and no panning automation can be loaded until a restart
