Summary | 0003084: Visually editable region gain
Description | In Ardour 2.8.6, there are two ways of setting the gain of a region: the ^ and & shortcuts, and the region editor. In Samplitude, I have always enjoyed to edit region gains by dragging a mouse-handle in the center of the region itself (up and down). This handle is placed on a line which connects the two edit points for the fade-in and fade-out, looking like this: /*----*----*\ The left and right * represent the edit points for the fade-in and fade-out and, analogous to Ardour, can be dragged left and right to adjust the length of the fades. In addition, however, the center * is a handle which can be dragged up and down in order to adjust the region gain. I propose to add such an edit point for regions in Ardour.
