I don't follow what you mean here. Can you describe the problem more explicitly?

Yup. Okay so I have a track labelled cow bell. In this track there are lots of regions. Im calling the joins between these regions seams (like joins in material). Im recording a cymbal on a new track. During the duration of recording the cymbal there are many seams on the cowbell track. Ardour should play all the regions when im recording the cymbal. However at some of the seams (random) (the end of one region and the start of another) the cowbell track stops playing for the entire duration of that region. Its random tracks and random seams.
