| Description | There are some options which are used to tweak the performance of Ardour but I do not believe that they changed often. And I'm almost certain that they are not changed on-the-fly. I suggest we add a tab to the preferences dialog called "performance" and move these options into it. These options can be toggled to maximize the number of tracks or plugins on a given system. "show waveforms" "enable editor meters" "show waveforms while recording" "use region fades (global)" (this one is dangerous, why do we even have this option?) (not sure about these) "stop plugins with transport" "stop plugins when recording". A few other drastic "cpu reducing" options could be added: "reduce meter refresh rate" "reduce canvas redraw rate" ...etc? | ||||
