Summary0009804: Background audio constantly repeats itself when opened with pipewire jack
DescriptionUpon launching a project, audio (such as music playing in the background) starts to loop in on itself, comparable to the audio looping that occurs when you alt-tab in a source game.
Steps To ReproduceUpon opening ardour with the terminal command pw-jack ardour, then entering a project, the looping begins. This can be resolved by going to Window -> Audio / MIDI setup -> Disconnect from jack -> Connect to jack. This has to be done every time the program is restarted, unless you also set the audio system to ALSA before switching back, then the change will persist until full system restart.
Additional InformationIf you reconnect to jack too quickly, the looping resumes.

Forgot to add, if you try to close ardour in this 'looping state', it goes unresponsive, and has to be force quit.

Is there a reason why you use JACK?

Is this actual jack or some pipewire? What is the output of

jackd --version
pipewire --version

This is pipewire-jack. Using Jack because alsa disables background audio, such as discord or youtube. output of pipewire --version is
pipewire
Compiled with libpipewire 1.0.5
Linked with libpipewire 1.0.5

Also note: the issue is inconsistent / has worsened? Fixing via disconnecting and reconnecting from midi/audio setup no longer works, but choosing alsa and then jack seemingly fixed the issue. There's also reports of my mic sounding a lot worse while it's running, but I'm not sure if that's an issue with ardour or my audio setup.
